DAY 1: Phong Nha Cave – Paradise Cave

MORNING

7.30:

Pick up from your stay (train station, airport, bus stop, hotel… – located within Dong Hoi City, Phong Nha, Cu Nam or Hoan Lao) and depart for Phong Nha – Ke Bang.

08h30:

Arrive in Phong Nha, take a boat to visit Cung Dinh, Tien, Bi Ky caves and more. Phong Nha’s cave system features underground passageways and river caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites. It is famous for its rock formation that bear intriguing names such as the “Lion”, “Unicorn”, “Kneeling elephant” and “the Buddha”. Phong Nha has been voted as one of the most wonderful caves in the world for a number of reasons, such as the longest underground river, the most beautiful underground lake, the highest and widest entrance or the most beautiful and widest dry cave.

NOON

11.30:

Have lunch at a restaurant.

AFTERNOON

13.00:

Transfer to Paradise cave.

13.40:

Explore Paradise cave. Tourist will be taken by golf cart (1.6km) from the main gate through the jungle, then climb to the mouth of the cave. When discovering Paradise cave, tourists seem to get lost in the fairy tale place on Earth and you will understand why it has that beautiful name. This cave is located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park’s core zone, considered as the longest dry cave in Asia.

Besides that, you also have an opportunity to see the wonderful natural landscape with ecosystem diversity. Trekking in the forest, looking at the high blue sky was an excellent experience.

16.00:

Get on bus to come back Dong Hoi.

17.30:

Arrive Dong Hoi. Check in the hotel.

19.00:

Have dinner in a restaurant.

After dinner, free at leisure time to relax or visit city.


DAY 2: Vinh Moc tunnels – 17th Parallel – Quang Tri Citadel/ La Vang church – Hue

MORNING

07.30:

Check out the room, and transfer to Quang Tri.

08.30:

Visit Vinh Moc Tunnel. This is a great structure, a famous place and a historical site in Quang Tri. It was built from 6.000 m3 of rock, during 18.000 days by the military and locals. It is the symbol of Vietnamese’s patriotism and bravery.

10.00:

Coming to 17th parallel – Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River. In Vietnam war, it was bisected between South Vietnam and North Vietnam. This is the symbol of desire for peace and freedom. The tourists have opportunity to understand more about Vietnam’s history with historical sites.

NOON

11.30:

Have lunch at a restaurant.

AFTERNOON

13.30:

Transfer to Quang Tri Citadel.

This historical structure was built in Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). Quang Tri citadel is also known as a hot spot in Vietnam war. It is the tomb of thousands of soldiers. This citadel was destroyed during the years of war. It is the symbol of bravery of the locals.

The tourist can choose to visit the other destination, called La Vang Church.

14.30:

Transfer to Hue.

16.30:

Arriver in Hue. Check in the hotel.

17.30:

Have dinner in a restaurant.

19.00:

After dinner, take a dragon boat; enjoy the folk song singing on Huong River.

21.00:

Free at leisure time to relax or visit city.


DAY 3: Hue Imperial City – Thien Mu Pagoda- Minh Mang Tomb/ Tu Duc Tomb/ Khai Dinh Tomb

MORNING

07.30:

Transfer to Hue Imperial City.

08.00:

Arrive in Hue Imperial City. King Gia Long built this structure in 1805. Then, it was continued and finished by King Minh Mang in 1832. The Imperial City is square, includes 10 gates and 24 bastions. Its circumference is 10km with the height of 6,6m and thickness of 21m.

Visit Hue Imperial City: Nowadays, this is the place of worship of all emperors of Nguyen Dynasty with the height of 4m and thickness of 1m. There are 4 gates. Among that, South Gate was only for King. Hue Imperial City includes many areas.

Visit Forbidden City: The place was for only Kings and King’s Family.It was built in 1804, includes Can Chanh, Can Thanh, Khon Thai, Duyet Thi Duong, Thuong Thien, Thai Binh Lau.

10.30:

Transfer to Thien Mu Pagoda.

Thien Mu Pagoda is one of the most beautiful places in Hue. This pagoda has been built and renovated many times. Nowadays, when visiting Thien Mu Pagoda, the tourists will have opportunity to admire a lot of antiquities as well as learn about history of this pagoda.

13.30:

Visit Minh Mang Tomb.

Hieu Tomb (also called Minh Mang Tomb) is the resting place of King Minh Mang. When visiting Minh Mang Tomb, the tourists will be interested in the pictures or poets which were drawn on the wall. This structure expresses King Minh Mang’s character and soul. This structure expresses King Minh Mang’s character and soul.

15.00:

Visiting Tu Duc Tomb/ Khai Dinh Tomb.

Tu Duc Tomb is also called Khiem Tomb. When seeing from the top, this tomb looks like a great picture and is in the list of the most beautiful structes in XIX. This structure was amusement park of King Tu Duc when the King was alive. It expresses King Tu Duc’s character and soul. Khai Dinh Tomb was built in September 4th 1920 during 11 years by the famous and talented artists. This tomb is the symbol of Art of Pottery and Glass.

17.00:

Return to Hue. Drop you off (at Phu Bai Airport, bus station, Hue train station, hotel and so on)
